More than 8,563 lawsuits involving Baycol are pending against the company, while 2,710 cases have been settled out of court according to a report created by Bayer AG. The number of lawsuits pending is less than the 8,895 figure given in Bayer AG's May update. The settled cases have cost the company $1.04 billion. The total number of Baycol cases includes individual Baycol injury claims and Baycol death claims, as well as numerous different types of Baycol class actions.
