May 30 2007 - Parents seek damages for daughter´s death after motorcycle accident
The parents of an 18-year-old girl who died after her motorcycle was struck by a car last year have filed a lawsuit against the driver of the car that hit her.
Lynelle Kay Hunsaker, 18, of Clear Lake, Iowa was riding her motorcycle in Clear Lake on May 9, 2006, when she was struck by a car driven by Roy Wallace, of Tucson, Ariz., according to the lawsuit, filed in Cerro Gordo County District Court.
Hunsaker was taken to an area hospital where she died eight days later.
Her parents have filed a lawsuit against Wallace and his wife, Barbara, claiming they acted negligently, violated Iowa traffic laws and caused the death of their daughter.
Wallace, who was turning onto the street where the accident happened, was cited for failure to yield while entering a highway.
